The Florian
Named after the Patron Saint of Firefighters, the Florian came to life as a custom request from a client. And when I was asked if I could create it, I realized that it was exactly what I needed for my own everyday carry leather notebook cover.
I always carry an A6 notebook for my journaling, but sometimes I just need a small sheet of paper to jot down a quick note that I can tear out, and I definitely don't want to do that with my journal.
The Florian fills both roles. On the right side, there is room for a standard-sized A6 notebook (and I'll even include one with the purchase to help get you started). On the left side, you can slip in a blank flip-top notebook. The spiral notebook in the photos is one of my "Rite in the Rain" all-weather notebooks, which measure 3x5 inches, but this will accommodate up to a 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 notebook, as the original request was to accommodate a wildland firefighter pocket guide. The right pocket also has two card pockets that will fit 2-3 credit card-sized items each. The pockets on both sides can also serve as stash pockets for a bit of cash, receipts, or whatever else you might want to stuff in there.
These are handcrafted from Pueblo leather, a premium, top-grain veg-tanned leather from the famous Badalassi Carlo leather tannery in Tuscany, Italy. There are many color options available; feel free to mix and match your favorites to personalize. The colors are shown in the photos section.
The Primary color you select will be for the outside of the journal cover and the Secondary color will be for the inside color.
Each item is hand-stitched, using 1 mm Ritza Tiger thread for maximum durability.
Each purchase will include an A6 notebook. The pen used in the photos, as well as the "Rite in the Rain" spiral top notebook are not included.
Please reach out if you have any questions or special requests.
